Although little is known about Titian’s earliest works,
he has been recognized as a spectacular painter since even his youth. His
daughter’s portrait in particular excellently displays his talent. He catches
her in an unusual yet not unnatural pose, and easily focuses the viewer upon
her face without sacrificing beauty or detail in the rest of the piece.
